On August 15, the Republic of Korea (also known as South Korea) celebrates its Independence Day, or Gwangbokjeol (“The day the light returned”), as it is known there. It commemorates the end of more than three decades of Japanese occupation of the Korean peninsula after its liberation by the Allies in 1945. The holiday was established in 1948 and is observed to this day by both South Korea and North Korea despite their separation in the aftermath of the Korean War.
To celebrate the occasion, we’ve prepared a special mission for you. South Korea uses or its military complex developed various vehicles that we’d like you to try out! This week, you have a chance to obtain awesome prizes by playing them.
All these objectives need to be completed between August 15 (16:00 CEST/17:00 MSK) and August 21 (22:59 CEST/23:59 MSK), 2022.
Objective 1: Win 15 matches in any regular mode while using any of the following vehicles:
- K2 Black Panther Tier 10 MBT
- K21 XC-8 Tier 10 LT
Reward: K1A1 ROK skin for the K1A1 Tier 7 Premium MBT
Objective 2: Win 10 matches in any regular mode while using any of the following vehicles:
- AS21 Redback Tier 9 AFV
- K-153C Tier 9 AFV
- K21 Tier 8 Premium AFV
- BMP-3 Tier 6 AFV
Reward: Korean War camouflage
Objective 3: Win 10 matches in any regular mode while using any of the following vehicles:
- T-80U Tier 7 MBT
- K1A1 Tier 7 Premium MBT
- M60A3 Tier 5 MBT
Reward: Korean Unification player avatar, 3 real-life Korean unit decals
Please note:
- All objectives need to be completed between August 15 (16:00 CEST/17:00 MSK) and August 21 (22:59 CEST/23:59 MSK), 2022
- Each objective can only be completed once
- All prizes will be sent to each winner after the end of the event
