The 2018 Halloween is almost upon us and we are happy to introduce you to one of the scariest vehicles to date – the Sphinx Monster!

The Sphinx (Secret Project for High Intensity and New Conflicts) is a French prototype that was first introduced to the public at the Eurosatory 2010 Expo alongside the light CRAB, another Panhard vehicle. It was developed as a private venture by Panhard to become France's next armored recon and fire support vehicle, as a part of the Scorpion program, but lost to the ERBC Jaguar and is unlikely to be ever mass-produced. In Armored Warfare, the Sphinx is a Tier 10 Armored Fighting Vehicle. Despite its light weight, it is armed both with a powerful autocannon and deadly guided missiles. These, along with its supreme mobility, make it perhaps the best scouting vehicle in the game, fully capable of not only spotting, but also taking out even the heaviest targets on its own. The Sphinx is a perfect vehicle for those players, who prefer the combination of a wheeled chassis and blazing speed because very few other vehicles in the game can get even close to the Sphinx in agility.

The Sphinx Monster variant is a Premium version of the progression AFV with a very unique paintjob – or, more precisely, flesh-job, as the vehicle is mutated almost beyond recognition, perhaps by a capricious elder god, summoned from the darkest depths of madness, or perhaps by the wonders of perverted science, lost to the turmoil of the broken world of Armored Warfare. Regardless, despite its peculiar appearance, the Monster Sphinx is just as deadly as its regular counterpart.

Starting today, October 26, we are introducing a special Sphinx Loot Crate which will be available until November 1, 2018.

We’ve taken your feedback into account and improved the Loot Crate mechanisms by:

• Making its content more valuable across the board
• Introducing a rule where the more Sphinx Loot Crates you open, the higher the chance of a Sphinx Monster drop per crate, making it a virtual certainty at one point
