Commanders!
With the recent conclusion of the Operation Liberty event, we were pleasantly surprised by its popularity and by how many players were actively participating in order to get their hands on its two epic skin rewards.
This is why, starting in early August, we’ll be launching yet another epic event that’ll run until mid-September, featuring two epic prizes – the Gromozeka skin for the T-90A Burlak and the vehicle itself. That’s right, you’ll be able to earn that sweet tank and the skin by simply playing every day. But let’s take a look at the skin itself.
Once again, the skin isn’t exactly historical in the strictest sense of the word, because the Burlak turret never entered service. A prototype or two were made and that was about it – you can read more about it in our dedicated article.
But what if the Burlak had entered service? That is the theme of the skin.
As you can see on the screenshots, the vehicle is painted in Russian military colors and shows many signs of heavy use. It looks like it has seen a lot of combat in mercenary hands and even has some camouflage nets attached to it.
The name Gromozeka comes from an award-winning Soviet cartoon movie “The Mystery of the Third Planet” from 1981 (or an even earlier book from the 1960s the movie was based on), where it was the name of one of the characters, an alien archeologist. We’ve chosen the name as a tribute to the quality of journalism as it is tied to a certain story that is perhaps better left unmentioned.
Still, regardless of the background, Gromozeka is a mercenary vehicle and as such is adorned with crude soldier sense of humor in mind.
The skin has one more interesting property – it unlocks the vehicle’s modules usually locked behind contract requirements. That way you’ll be able to play your Burlak at full power immediately after getting it.
The skin and the vehicle of course aren’t the only prizes in the event. You’ll be able to earn Rough Riders Battle Coins, new beast-themed decals, older skins and new great-looking camouflages. We’ll tell you more about those in the near future but, for now:
See you on the battlefield!
