Into the West Battle Path: Info and Preorder

Today, we’d like to tell you more about the upcoming Battle Path campaign called “Into the West” as a whole along with the changes and improvements we’ve prepared for you.

You can now secure the access to the Battle Path early (and with preorder-exclusive items) in the Web Shop “Battle Path” section. The following bundles are available:

• Into the West access with the Stone Monkey decal and avatar
• Into the West access with 50.000 Battle Coins and the Stone Monkey decal and avatar
• Into the West access with 10 Battle Coin boosters and the Stone Monkey decal and avatar

Obtaining one of these bundles will unlock the Path of the Warrior access as soon as the Battle Path begins. Path of the Warrior is the standard access to the Into the West Battle Path that works the same way as in the previous Battle Paths. For more info, please read below.

As some of you might have been able to guess from the pre-order decal and avatar, the entire Battle Path is inspired by the legendary Chinese novel “Journey to the West” and the story of Sun Wukong (the Monkey King) and the scroll pilgrims tasked with bringing Buddhism from India to China. The prizes of the Battle Path follow all four unabridged novel volumes and are inspired by the events within the books.

We’ll show you specific examples later down the line – for now, let’s focus on the main prizes of the Battle Path, which are three Chinese vehicles:

• ZBD-100 Tier 10 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle for reaching Level 15
• Type 100 CSV Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer for reaching Level 30
• ZTZ-100 Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank for reaching Level 50

All three vehicles feature a new unique ability called Synergy – thanks to a shared cutting-edge Battlefield Management System they are able to boost each other’s performance as well as the performance of their other teammates. And when all three join together, they can create a shield protecting them and other friendly vehicles from guided missiles. You can read more about that in our dedicated article.

Another popular prize is making a return in the form of up to 4 Pilgrim Loot Crates that will once again award you with a random Premium vehicle that you do not have yet of Tier 6 or higher, (or 250 Legendary Blueprints if you have them already). Furthermore:

• 1000 Legendary Blueprints will once again be available for progression through the Battle Path (missions, levels)
• The Battle Path will once again offer overprogression Levels 51-60 with thousands of Legendary Blueprints for the most dedicated of players
• A new Legendary Vehicle (the unlocking which requires the ownership of ZTZ-100) will also arrive after the launch

And last but not least, Chain Missions will, instead of generic boosters, offer prizes from the earlier Chinese-themed Rise of the Dragon Battle Path, including skins, camouflages and decals. Players who own them already will receive extra Gold instead (up to 1150 Gold in total). Completing all these missions will yield a Pilgrim Loot Crate.

The cost of the Into the West Battle Path will remain the same as with the current one:

• 50 levels, 4200 Battle Coins each
• 51-60 overprogression levels with increased cost (awarding Legendary Vehicle blueprints)

But the biggest change is that for the first time ever, even players who haven’t bought the access will have the opportunity to unlock the first 15 levels for free (including a single Pilgrim Loot Crate and the first vehicle of the Battle Path). There will be two access options available:

• Path of the Warrior (which is a standard Battle Path access that works as usual)
• Path of the Pilgrim (which is free access to the initial 15 levels of the Battle Path that is open for everyone by default)

Please note that the Path of the Pilgrim free access will allow you to complete Daily Missions and to progress through the Battle Path levels (up to Level 15 included). The rest of the Battle Path (Levels 16-60, Challenges, Chain Missions and the Battle Path Shop) will only be available to Path of the Warrior players. Upgrading from Path of the Pilgrim to Path of the Warrior will be available at any point as well.

As for the other changes, there will also be plenty of Battle Coin Boosters to earn (more than ever before) as well as:

• Missions and Challenges will be possible to complete on the PvE (Legendary) difficulty
• Mission Chains were once again overhauled (Chinese vehicles will come in handy)
• New Daily Missions were added (including new SPG and Tier 5-8 ones)
• Some existing Daily Mission requirements were reduced (mid-Tier Light Tank missions which hard higher requirements than other categories)
• Type 99B blueprints awaiting you in the Battle Path Shop
• Battle Path Shop will also receive new content, including 7 new vehicles and dozens of camouflages and skins
