Historical Skins – T-90M Liberator

Commanders!

For the celebrations of the end of the Second World War, we have prepared for you several new items, starting with the T-90M skin called Liberator.

scr1

This skin was inspired by the final large battle of the European theater of war, the Battle of Berlin. Despite taking place right at the end of the war and taking mere two weeks, this single battle took the lives of up to two hundred thousand soldiers on both sides with nearly half a million troops wounded and over one hundred thousand civilians perishing in the conflict.

Truly it was a testament to the nearly incomprehensible brutality of war and the bravery of Soviet troops who went on to conquer this final bastion of Nazi resistance. The T-90M Main Battle Tank takes on the appearance inspired by the heavy IS-2 tanks from this battle and bears the insignia of the 7th Guards Independent Heavy Tank Brigade – the famous polar bear crossing a red star and white stripes covering its front and turret.

The steel surface of the tank was also modified to resemble the late war Soviet tanks but that’s not all the skin offers. Aside from looking pretty, equipping the skin unlocks the top module configuration of this tank that otherwise requires you to complete Battle Path missions.

But that’s not all we have for you. For this year’s camouflage, we took inspiration from the “other side”, for what would heroic deeds of victory be without worthy enemies?

The Zimmerit camouflage makes your vehicle look as if it is covered by the eponymous coating that prevented the attachment of magnetic mines to German tanks. While its real-life use was somewhat controversial (some say the Zimmerit layer was not useful at all), it did produce the iconic late war look of German panzers.

And last but not least, we have three decals for you:

  • Emblem of the 7th Guards Independent Heavy Tank Brigade (as a decal)
  • U.S. Army Star (the version used during the Normandy landings)
  • Lorraine Cross (symbol of the French resistance)

We hope that you will enjoy these new items and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!
