Commanders!
Earlier this year, we have overhauled the T-72A model, which then allowed us to correctly model the T-72M1 MBT. In the T-72A article, we have also stated that the overhaul would affect the vehicles that are based on the chassis, including the Polish T-72M2 Wilk.

Unfortunately, the new Wilk model wasn’t ready at the time (the picture in the article belonged to the old one). The reason for that was that the Wilk model overhaul took longer than expected because there were more details to correct than we had originally anticipated. It is only today that we are ready to unveil the new Wilk appearance. Without further ado, let’s get to it.
As you can see, the biggest change is in the turret’s geometry. The vehicle now has a proper T-72A-shaped turret. Another immediately visible change is the addition of frontal rubber skirts that have the same purpose as the side ones – to protect the vulnerable areas of the vehicle from incoming RPG threats.

Note the suspension appearance. We’ve updated that one along with the entire hull. The vehicle is now properly based on the T-72M1 model.

The rear of the vehicle has been updated as well with the ugly fuel tank holders now being properly folded the way they would be without any additional fuel tanks present. The turret also has a rear-pointing machinegun.

The turret boxes are now more detailed with a canister added to the side of the rear one. Another look at the suspension also shows the issues with its scale on the old model. This too has been fixed.

Taking a closer look at the turret geometry, notice how more detailed the textures are. We’ve overhauled pretty much every smaller part to improve their appearance. The ERA layout has been corrected as well.

And, last but not least, the engine deck was also fixed. Also note the attention to detail, such as the new cover of the rear-facing light.

This upgrade is coming to Armored Warfare around the end of this month. In the meanwhile, we are of course hard at work improving the appearance of other older models.

We hope that you’ll enjoy it and, as always:
See you on the battlefield!
