While vehicle models are made with maximum accuracy in mind, the game itself is mostly action-focused with dynamic gameplay being the primary goal.
There are two primary modes: 30-player team PvP battles (where two 15-player teams play against each other) and 5-player PvE missions, where players battle AI-controlled opponents. Players can use both modes or just one to progress, progression content is not mode-restricted.
Armored Warfare is available on PC, PS4 and on Xbox One. Mac release is not planned.
Player modifications are neither supported nor allowed.
Players control tanks that have certain armor values and a hitpoint value. Successfully hitting an enemy tank with a shell or a guided missile and penetrating its armor reduces the hitpoints of the tank. Once the hitpoint value reaches zero, the tank is destroyed. Learn about gameplay basics in our guide series.
Players earn two currencies – Reputation (used to unlock vehicles and their parts) and Credits (used to purchase vehicles, parts and other game items). In addition, players can also progress by:
- Upgrading their vehicle crews (Crew Experience)
- Upgrading their vehicle commanders (Commander Experience)
